Super League players Emre Guler and Peta Hiku receive two-match bans

Super League disciplinary rulings have resulted in two-match suspensions for Emre Guler of Wakefield Trinity and Peta Hiku of Hull KR. Both players received Grade E punching charges following red cards issued during recent play-off matches.

Emre Guler’s suspension will cause him to miss Wakefield Trinity’s upcoming semi-final against the Wigan Warriors and potentially the Grand Final. Other disciplinary actions involving Wakefield include a Grade B dangerous contact charge for Mike McMeeken, which resulted in a fine but no suspension.

Peta Hiku’s two-match ban will see him miss the first two matches of the next season for Hull KR. Additional sanctions were issued to several players, including a Grade C head contact charge for Warrington Wolves’ James Harrison and a two-game ban for Barrow’s Alex Bishop in the Championship.
