Super League players face suspensions following disciplinary review

The Super League Match Review Panel has issued several disciplinary sanctions following recent weekend fixtures. Hull FC second-rower Joe Batchelor received a two-match suspension and a fine after being charged with Grade D head contact during a match against the Warrington Wolves.

In contrast, Hull FC prop Ligi Sao escaped both a charge and a ban despite a controversial sin bin incident involving contact with Warrington winger Matty Ashton. The RFL stated the sin bin was sufficient because the contact was primarily through the shoulder and head contact was deemed minimal.

Other players facing suspensions include Warrington Wolves' Sam Powell, who received a one-match ban for Grade C dangerous contact, St Helens' Daniel Suluka-Fifita for Grade C strikes, and Castleford Tigers' Daniel Sarbah for Grade B head contact.
