Super Metro denies transporting youths to disrupt Gachagua meetings

Super Metro has denied allegations that its buses were used to transport youths to Kirinyaga to disrupt political meetings involving former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The claims were initiated by Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina, who suggested the vehicles were carrying individuals intended to cause chaos. Maina warned the transport company of potential legal consequences, stating she would hold them culpable for aiding and abetting any violence at the meetings.

In a statement released on Monday, August 24, Super Metro clarified that the buses were actually transporting secondary school students on a recreational trip. The company cited the AIC Church Ziwani Nairobi, noting that the students were heading for a hike at Kathandeni Forest in Gichugu Constituency and had no connection to political activities.
