Super Netball contract window opens, football transfer periods detailed for 2026 season

The 2027 Super Netball season contract signing window is open and will run until Friday 28 August. Clubs may re‑sign their own players until Sunday 16 August, after which they can make non‑binding offers to other clubs and sign players from other Super Netball teams until the window closes. Contracts may be for up to five years, and training partners can be signed from 29 August onward. The Collective Player Agreement provides improved pay, conditions and sponsorship rights for athletes.

In football, FIFA defines two annual registration periods. The summer window for the 2026/27 English season opened on 15 June and closes at 23:00 BST on 1 September, allowing clubs in the Premier League and EFL to register incoming players. The window’s length must be between eight and twelve weeks, with a mid‑season window of four to eight weeks, and the total registration time cannot exceed sixteen weeks per season. Clubs may negotiate and conduct medicals outside the window, but player registration is only permitted during these periods.
