Kifisia defeats Atromitos 2-1 to secure first Super League win

Kifisia secured its first victory of the current Super League season with a 2-1 win against Atromitos at the Angelos Rambos Stadium. The match, part of the 5th round of the regular season, was decided by two goals from Spanish midfielder Jorge Pombo.

After a scoreless first half, Pombo opened the scoring in the 63rd minute. Atromitos responded in the 75th minute when Samuel Moutousamis equalized with a left-footed shot. However, following a VAR review and an on-field review that led to high tension and red cards for both benches, a penalty was awarded to Kifisia. Pombo successfully converted the penalty in the 85th minute to secure the win.

With this result, Kifisia rises to 5 points, while Atromitos remains at 2 points without a victory after five matches. Other notable results from the 5th round include PAOK's 3-1 victory over Panetolikos and Olympiacos' 1-0 win against Levadiakos. The league will now enter a break for international matches before resuming on October 10.
