Superbet to convert betting agencies into community hubs

Superbet is converting its betting agencies into community spaces following legislative changes in Romania that allow local authorities to ban gambling activities within their jurisdictions. Under OUG 7/2026, several local councils have already moved to prohibit gambling, which typically leads operators to close locations and lay off staff.

To prevent job losses, the company is rebranding these affected spaces as ‘Home of Superliga’. These new community hubs will allow people to gather and watch Superliga and other major football matches together. The initiative aims to maintain existing employment while respecting the legal decisions made by local administrations.
