Superdry signs long-term co-branding agreement with Kappa

Superdry has entered into a long-term co-branding agreement with the Italian sportswear label Kappa. The partnership involves the design, development, and distribution of “Kappa x Superdry” clothing and footwear, with the inaugural collection scheduled to launch for the spring/summer 2027 season.

The collaboration will target the United Kingdom and selected European markets. Superdry designers have been utilizing Kappa’s archives in Turin to draw inspiration from the brand’s Italian sporting heritage and its Omini logo. Kappa, owned by the Turin-based BasicNet Group, represents the first sportswear brand to join Superdry’s growing portfolio of licensed brands, which recently included Bench and Stan Ray.

Superdry CEO Julian Dunkerton stated that the brands are intended to complement one another without competing, with Kappa providing a sports-inspired offering to sit alongside existing workwear and lifestyle categories. This move follows a period of financial restructuring for Superdry, which reported a return to profit in its most recent annual results.
