Supergirl film to debut on HBO Max streaming platform

The film ‘Supergirl’, part of the new DC Universe (DCU) following the 2025 ‘Superman’ release, is scheduled to arrive on the HBO Max streaming platform on Thursday, September 10.

Directed by Craig Gillespie and based on the comic ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, the story follows Kara Zor-El (played by Milly Alcock) as she navigates her identity and trauma regarding the destruction of Krypton. The plot involves her journey alongside a young girl named Ruthye to face an enemy and rescue the Kryptonian dog, Krypto.

The cast includes Milly Alcock, Jason Momoa as Lobo, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, and David Krumholtz as Zor-El. The film will be available to subscribers without additional rental or purchase costs.
