Supergirl movie debut triggers KFC limited-edition bucket and short runtime

The upcoming DC Studios film *Supergirl* will arrive in cinemas on June 26, starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor‑El. The studio announced the film’s running time of 107 minutes and 55 seconds—rounded to 108 minutes—making it the shortest DC theatrical release in more than two decades.

To promote the movie, KFC launched a limited‑time "Supergirl Ultimate Meal" that includes blind‑bag collectibles featuring Supergirl (two versions), Lobo, Ruthye and Krypto. The chain also released an ultra‑limited Krypto bucket, a reusable collector’s version of its iconic chicken bucket, inspired by the film’s Puppy Krypto character. This marks KFC’s first movie‑related collectible partnership in over 20 years, echoing a 1984 Popeyes product placement for the original *Supergirl* film.
