SuperGroupies launches SEGA console‑inspired watches
SuperGroupies has released a limited‑edition collection of three wristwatches that replicate the look of SEGA’s classic consoles: the Mega Drive (known as Genesis in North America), the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast. Each watch features a dial that mirrors the original hardware’s colour scheme, button layout and iconic logos, and comes in a box styled after the Japanese packaging of the respective console. The watches are priced at $319.99 before tax, with the same price offered in Japan at ¥27,500, and are available for pre‑order through SuperGroupies’ U.S. online store.
The Mega Drive model displays a black face with cartridge‑slot graphics and the “16‑BIT” label, the Saturn version uses a grey finish reflecting the Japanese console, and the Dreamcast watch sports a silver strap and ivory dial reminiscent of the system’s futuristic design. All three are built with quartz movements and metal bracelets sized for wrists between 150 mm and 190 mm. The launch targets collectors and fans of retro gaming who want a wearable piece of video‑game history.
