Superior Tribunal de Justicia upholds Concordia waste collection bid

The Superior Tribunal de Justicia (STJ) of Entre Ríos has upheld the validity of a public bidding process for urban solid waste collection in the Municipality of Concordia. The court unanimously rejected legal actions aimed at halting or modifying Public Tender No. 47/2026.

The plaintiffs had argued that the bidding documents omitted environmental obligations required by provincial law and local ordinances. However, the tribunal, led by Judge Miguel Ángel Giorgio, ruled that the legal challenge was formally inadmissible, stating that there was no evident violation of an express mandate or prohibited conduct.

Following the judicial endorsement, the administration of Mayor Francisco Azcué announced on September 18, 2026, that the company Vitsa has been awarded the service concession.
