Superior Tribunal of Justice orders OSER to increase medication coverage
The Superior Tribunal of Justice (STJ) has partially granted a lawsuit against the Obra Social de Entre Ríos (OSER), ordering the organization to guarantee 70% coverage for the medication Dienogest. The ruling specifies a dosage of 2 mg daily for a period of six months, as prescribed by the patient's physician.
The legal action was initiated by a 41-year-old affiliate suffering from deep endometriosis, which included complications such as peritoneal thickening and intestinal involvement. The plaintiff had challenged OSER's initial offer to cover only 40% of the medication costs, arguing that the reduction was arbitrary and violated her right to health and reproductive rights.
