Superir implements asynchronous hearings to improve debt renegotiation efficiency

The Superintendencia de Insolvencia y Reemprendimiento (Superir) has implemented a new asynchronous hearing modality for debt renegotiation procedures in Chile. Effective as of October 1, 2026, this digital initiative allows debtors and creditors to review debt details, submit observations, and vote through a specialized technological platform without the need for simultaneous participation.

This change aims to increase Superir’s hearing management capacity by at least 40% in the coming months and reduce procedural delays. The agency has already seen significant improvements in efficiency, with average admissibility examination times dropping from 63 business days in September 2025 to 21.7 business days in September 2026.
