Supermassive Games launches online multiplayer for Directive 8020

Supermassive Games has released a free update for its sci-fi survival horror title, Directive 8020, introducing an online multiplayer mode. The update allows up to five players to experience the game together across different locations, provided each participant owns a copy of the title.

Players can choose from several gameplay modes, including a Custom Mode that replicates the couch co-op experience online, and a Round Robin Mode where control rotates between players at set intervals. A Choice Voting feature has also been added, allowing players to see how others in the group vote on critical decisions.

In addition to the multiplayer functionality, the update includes new customization options, such as retro silver space suits, and introduces 13 Premonitions, which are collectible items that offer glimpses into potential future outcomes to assist with survival decisions.
