Supermicro partners address unstructured data challenges for AI

Industry leaders are addressing the challenges of managing unstructured data to fuel artificial intelligence. While unstructured data—including documents, videos, logs, and audio—comprises over 80% of enterprise data, much of it remains unmanaged or underutilized for AI training.

During the Supermicro Open Storage Summit, executives from Hammerspace Inc., Super Micro Computer Inc., Cloudian Inc., and Seagate Technology LLC discussed the necessity of efficient data preparation. They noted that managing unstructured data for AI is significantly more complex than traditional archiving or backup initiatives, requiring new methods for discovering, governing, and automating data movement to ensure successful AI deployments.
