SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs and final field set

The SuperMotocross (SMX) World Championship playoffs and final are set, featuring the top 20 athletes following a 28-round dual-discipline season. Hunter Lawrence enters the postseason as the top seed after winning the Pro Motocross Championship, following Ken Roczen’s victory in the Supercross Championship.

Six-time champion Eli Tomac has announced his retirement from professional offroad motorcycle racing, which will take effect after the SMX World Championship Final in Ridgedale, Missouri. Tomac’s professional career concludes sixteen years and three months after his Pro Motocross debut.

The playoffs will begin with the first round in Columbus, Ohio, marking a departure from previous playoff locations like Charlotte. Due to venue availability during the autumn sports season, the series is utilizing MLS stadiums for these events.
