Supernova retail park to be built in Županja

Construction is set to begin in Županja for the Supernova retail park, a project valued at nearly 4.4 million euros. The development, managed by the newly formed Supernova Županja d. o. o. and owned by the Austrian company Supernova Beteiligung GmbH, is expected to open in spring 2027.

The approximately 4,000-square-meter facility will include a large supermarket, five international retail stores, a catering establishment, and 119 parking spaces. The project is located on Strossmayerova Street at the former Slavonija company site.

Local authorities in Vukovar-Srijem County noted the efficiency of the administrative process, having issued the construction permit in just 19 days. Katarina Cicvarić, head of the Service for Spatial Planning, Construction, and Environmental Protection, stated that while the legal limit for such decisions is 60 days, the rapid turnaround aims to support investors and facilitate job creation.
