Superyacht industry shows structural shifts at major 2026 maritime shows

The global superyacht industry is experiencing structural shifts, as highlighted by major maritime events in 2026. The 35th Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercule featured approximately 120 superyachts and over 560 exhibitors, showcasing a market defined by the interaction of technology, environmental pressures, and a sophisticated secondary market.

Despite pressures on new construction projects, the average size and total tonnage of yachts under construction remain high. The show featured 43 yachts identified as 2026 deliveries, including Lürssen’s 102-metre Nixie. This concentration of recently delivered vessels highlights the long production cycles inherent in the industry.

In Italy, Absolute Yachts is participating in the Genoa International Boat Show. The shipyard is presenting four models—the 60 FLY, Navetta 53, Navetta 62, and Navetta 70—which focus on a design philosophy of maximizing light and creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior living spaces.
