Superyacht M/Y Deep Blue arrives at Durrës Port

The superyacht M/Y Deep Blue, one of the world’s largest and most luxurious vessels, has arrived at the Port of Durrës. Built by the German shipyard Lürssen and delivered in 2026, the vessel is approximately 137 meters long and flies the flag of the Cayman Islands.

The yacht is reportedly owned by Chinese billionaire Richard Qiangdong Liu, the founder of the e-commerce giant JD.com. Valued at approximately $450 million, the vessel features amenities including a helipad, spa, gym, cinema, and swimming pools. It has a capacity for 24 guests and a crew of about 45 members.

The arrival is expected to generate revenue for the Albanian state through port services and fuel supplies. If the yacht refuels with approximately 300,000 liters of fuel, the state could collect roughly 120,000 euros in taxes based on a rate of 0.40 euros per liter.
