Supérate graduates 333 culinary students in Dominican Republic

The Supérate Social Development Directorate has graduated 333 individuals from the Supérate Gastronomic Training Center in Los Botados, Boca Chica. The training programs were designed to enhance employment opportunities and support entrepreneurship within the gastronomic, tourism, and service sectors.

Participants completed specialized courses in areas including professional cooking, Mexican and Italian cuisine, bakery, basic pastry, banquets and events, and street food. The initiative aims to foster economic autonomy and social inclusion.

Mayra Jiménez, Director General of Supérate, stated that the training aligns with government goals to increase labor formality to at least 50% by 2028. Graduates expressed intentions to use their technical skills to establish sustainable economic activities focused on quality and hygiene standards.
