Supreme Administrative Court IT department resigns en masse

The entire IT department of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic has reportedly submitted mass resignations. Zuzana Števulová, a Member of Parliament from the Progressive Slovakia (PS) party, raised concerns regarding the security of judicial files and the overall management of the court following this departure.

According to Števulová, employees cited receiving orders verbally or through intermediaries outside of established tracking mechanisms as a reason for leaving. She expressed concern that the court is planning to reduce IT staff without replacements, despite requesting nearly 1.5 million euros for IT operations over the next three years. Števulová has called for transparency from the court's new president, Monika Valašiková, and requested oversight from Minister of Justice Boris Susko.

The leadership of the Supreme Administrative Court has rejected what they described as “purposeful political interpretations” of internal personnel matters, characterizing the criticism as an interference in judicial independence.
