Supreme Court elects five new magistrates for Instruction Chamber

The Supreme Court of Justice has elected five new magistrates to the Special Instruction Chamber to replace outgoing members whose eight-year terms conclude on October 8. The new appointees include four women and one man.

The selected magistrates are Andrea Nataly Bermúdez Sánchez, Patricia del Socorro Hernández Zambrano, Javier Fernando Fonseca Alvarado, Susana Quiroz Hernández, and Adriana Cecilia Alarcón Gallego.

Andrea Nataly Bermúdez Sánchez, a former judicial prosecutor, will succeed Cristina Lombana. Patricia del Socorro Hernández Zambrano will replace Francisco Farfán, while Javier Fernando Fonseca Alvarado will take the seat previously held by Héctor Alarcón.
