Supreme Court of Poland rejects defense appeal in Ewa Tylman case

The Supreme Court of Poland has dismissed an appeal from the defense regarding the death of Ewa Tylman. This decision upholds a previous ruling by the second instance court that overturned the acquittal of Adam Z.

As a result, the case has been sent back to the first instance court for reconsideration. The legal proceedings follow the disappearance of Ewa Tylman in November 2015, after which her body was recovered from the Warta River. Although Adam Z. had been acquitted of murder and failure to provide assistance three times previously, the appellate court's decision to vacate those acquittals means the legal process remains unresolved more than a decade after the incident.
