Supreme Court to host forum on digital rights and AI in Barranquilla
The Supreme Court of Justice will hold a discussion titled “Freedom of expression, technology, disinformation and digital responsibility” in Barranquilla on September 8. Held at the University of the North’s Marvel Moreno Auditorium, the event aims to address the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, social media, and disinformation to democracy and freedom of expression.
Key topics include the need for regulatory mechanisms to prevent digital risks and assign responsibility without enabling censorship. Participants will discuss algorithmic impacts on the public sphere, digital governance, and the role of the State when technology platforms operate across national borders.
