Supreme Hadrami Coordination Council established in Mukalla
The Supreme Hadrami Coordination Council was officially established during a founding conference held in Mukalla. The event was attended by various political, academic, and social figures, including Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramaut.
Al-Khanbashi stated that the council aims to serve as a unifying political framework for all sectors of Hadramaut, including political groups, youth, and women. The goal is to create a shared space for dialogue to defend the province's interests and coordinate its stance on critical issues. He emphasized that the council will support local authorities in enhancing security, stability, and development.
A key focus of the conference was the management of Hadramaut's natural resources, such as oil, gas, minerals, and fisheries. Al-Khanbashi asserted that these resources must be utilized to improve local infrastructure, including electricity, water, roads, schools, and hospitals. He stressed that the people of Hadramaut must have a primary right to manage these resources and determine how their revenues are spent.
Security was also a major theme, with Al-Khanbashi highlighting the need to protect the province's institutions and maritime corridors. Local security forces implemented a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety and order of the founding event in Mukalla.
