Supreme secures deal to sell New York City trademarked merchandise
Streetwear brand Supreme has entered into a non-exclusive agreement with New York City to sell merchandise featuring city-owned trademarks. The deal, made through NYC Tourism + Conventions, allows the brand to use logos such as ‘Made in NY’, ‘NYPD’, ‘FDNY’, and ‘DSNY’ on apparel through 2028.
Under the terms of the contract, Supreme will pay the city a lump sum of $22,000 plus 6% of net profits from items sold using the city's trademarks. The city’s nonprofit marketing and tourism arm maintains the option to extend the partnership until 2030.
Products featuring these logos have already appeared at Supreme’s Manhattan flagship store, including DSNY-branded hoodies and FDNY baseball caps. Some items, such as the sanitation-themed hoodies, are priced at $188.
