Supreme signs licensing deal with New York City for municipal trademarks

Streetwear brand Supreme has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with NYC Tourism + Conventions to use official New York City trademarks on apparel and accessories. The non-exclusive deal covers insignia from the NYPD, FDNY, Department of Sanitation, and the ‘Made in NY’ program.

Under the terms of the agreement, Supreme will pay an upfront fee of $22,000 plus a 6 percent royalty on net profits from licensed goods. The contract runs through 2028, with an option to extend the partnership through 2030. The arrangement was established under Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration.

Items featuring these trademarks are already appearing in Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Released products include Department of Sanitation zip-up hoodies and FDNY baseball caps. The licensing follows previous legal efforts by the city to protect its trademarks from unauthorized use.
