Supriya Sule honors late Ajit Pawar on Raksha Bandhan

Supriya Sule, a Member of Parliament for the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), shared an emotional tribute to her late cousin, former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. In a post on X, Sule recalled their lifelong bond, describing the void left by his absence as something that “can never be filled.”

Ajit Pawar passed away on January 28 following a plane crash involving a Learjet 45 aircraft while attempting to land at Baramati airport in the Pune district. The accident, which occurred while he was traveling from Mumbai to campaign for the Zilla Panchayat elections, resulted in the deaths of all five people on board, including Pawar, his security officer, a flight attendant, and two pilots.

Pawar was a prominent political figure in Maharashtra, serving as the state’s longest-serving Deputy Chief Minister across six different terms in various government cabinets.
