Słupsk plans 18 million PLN land purchase for sports hall

The city of Słupsk is planning to purchase 17 hectares of land, known as ‘Piaskula’ on Grunwaldzka Street, for approximately 18 million PLN. The acquisition is intended to facilitate the construction of a new multi-purpose sports and entertainment hall.

While the project is supported by local political groups, including Koalicja Obywatelska, some city councilors have expressed concerns. Opponents have cited the high cost of construction and potential geological challenges, noting that the soil conditions may require expensive stabilization techniques such as piling to ensure the building's safety.
