Suraasa announces education pathway with International Teachers University
Suraasa, a teacher skilling and mobility platform, has established a higher education pathway for graduates of its Professional Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning (PgCTL).
Through this partnership, International Teachers University (ITU), based in Washington D.C., will recognize up to 15 credits of PgCTL learning toward its 33-credit Master's in Education (M. Ed.) via the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. ITU will evaluate graduates' transcripts and grades against specific M. Ed. course learning outcomes to award credits.
Graduates will complete the remaining 18 credits at ITU, which include advanced coursework in curriculum design and instruction, a chosen specialization, and a six-credit action research project conducted in their own classrooms. Upon completion, graduates will earn a U.S. master's degree, intended to prepare them for senior educational roles such as department leads, instructional coaches, or curriculum designers.
