Suraj Kumar Chand advances in HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour

The HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour in Kolkata has seen significant progress in both the men's and women's categories. In the men's pre-quarterfinals, Suraj Kumar Chand secured a victory against Egypt's Hassan Menshawi in a 73-minute match, winning 11-4, 8-11, 11-2, 9-11, 11-8. Sandesh Palanivel Ravikumar also advanced to the quarter-finals after a comeback victory against sixth seed Ayan Wazirali, winning 6-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.

In the women's division, top seed Tanvi Khanna moved into the quarter-finals by defeating Vasundhara Nangare in straight games. Other notable Indian performances include Ananya Narayanan and Pooja Aarti Raghu, both of whom secured wins in their respective opening rounds.

The tournament, which has previously visited Indore, Mumbai, and Chennai, currently features a prize pool of $9,000 for both the men's and women's categories.
