Surajpur Police in Greater Noida Arrest Fake Lawyer and Iron‑Theft Gang
Greater Noida police from the Surajpur police station arrested two separate criminal groups in early August. On 3 August, officers detained Veer Singh Sisodia, a 40‑year‑old who had been posing as an advocate in Surajpur court. He used counterfeit notary seals and forged documents to solicit large sums of money from people seeking bail or legal assistance. Police recovered five court‑related files, three fake advocate/notary seals and other forged paperwork.
A few days later, on 4 August, the same police unit captured four men – Tushar Saini, Surendra Singh, Shiva Yadav and Aditya Raj – who had stolen about 50 kg of iron angles from an NPCIL power‑pole. The thieves used a Tata Ace loader, a ladder and protective gear to remove the metal, which was later seized along with the loader, helmets and gloves. Both cases were investigated using local intelligence and the suspects are now facing legal proceedings.
