Suras AI launches AI system to transform security cameras into digital supervisors
Suras AI has developed a domestic artificial intelligence system designed to transform existing security cameras into digital shift supervisors for businesses. Developed by co-founders Fatih Abacı and AI software engineer İhsan Burak Yılmaz, the technology allows various sectors, ranging from restaurants to large manufacturing plants, to monitor operations without the need for additional hardware costs.
The system utilizes existing camera infrastructure to analyze human behavior and process flows. It can instantly detect operational disruptions, such as customers waiting for service in a cafe or production line stoppages, and send real-time notifications to management. Additionally, the software monitors occupational health and safety, providing immediate alerts in the event of emergencies, such as an employee fainting.
To address privacy and security concerns, Suras AI prioritizes local data processing over cloud-based systems, ensuring that raw footage and processed data remain within the business premises. The developers emphasize that the system does not collect biometric data or track individual identities; instead, it focuses on operational efficiency and fair feedback by analyzing tasks and work zones to distinguish between active and idle periods.
