Suresh Raina predicts 90% World Cup win chance for India with Rohit and Kohli
Former cricketer Suresh Raina has stated that India's chances of winning the 2027 ODI World Cup could reach 90 percent if both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are part of the squad. Speaking at an event in Delhi, Raina emphasized the immense experience and trophy-winning pedigree both players bring to the team.
The 2027 World Cup is scheduled to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Raina noted that the team will have a renewed drive to succeed in South Africa, referencing the loss in the 2003 tournament.
While questions regarding the age, fitness, and longevity of Sharma and Kohli remain central to discussions about the 2027 squad, both players have been included in the 15-member Indian team for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies. This series, featuring matches in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Chandigarh, serves as a key opportunity for the players to demonstrate their continued relevance in the national selection plans.
