Suresnes faces financial degradation and management concerns

An independent investigation into the management of Suresnes has revealed an alarming degradation of public finances and administrative handling between 2020 and 2025. The audit, conducted by Bilan de Mandat, suggests that the current municipality, led by Guillaume Boudy, failed to anticipate financial issues, leading to imprecise management of public affairs.

As a result of this situation, the commune may face significant tax increases for citizens. While these hikes were not implemented in 2025 due to the upcoming 2026 municipal elections, the report warns of potential taxpayer dissatisfaction and the erosion of the local tax base if such measures are eventually taken.

Parallel reports regarding Créteil also highlight concerns regarding management and a crisis of exemplary leadership within the region.
