Suri Cruise debuts at Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Suri Noelle Cruise, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, made her acting debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She performed in a re‑imagined version of Shakespeare’s *A Midsummer Night’s Dream* titled *Midsummer!*, written by Tony‑award winner Jeff Whitty. Over the two‑week run she played four roles – Helena, the fairy Mustardseed, a flute and a seed – and received strong praise, with one audience member calling her performance “incredible” and saying she “stole the show.”

The production was staged by a group of Carnegie Mellon University drama students who brought the show to Scotland. Around the same time, Suri publicly dropped her father’s surname, adopting her mother’s middle name “Noelle” as her last name, a change reflected in school records and voter registration. She is studying at Carnegie Mellon and lives in a dormitory while pursuing a normal student life.
