Suri Cruise to debut in Shakespeare‑adapted play at Carnegie Mellon

Suri Cruise, the 20‑year‑old daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, will make her acting debut in "Midsummer!", a contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The 90‑minute production will be staged by her and fellow Carnegie Mellon University students at the Peirce Studio of the Trust Arts Education Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 31 and August 1, 2026. After the U.S. previews, the cast will travel to the United Kingdom for a run at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe from August 7 to August 31.

Suri, who now studies musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon and has previously performed in a staged reading of “Cosmic Microwave Background,” recently dropped her father’s surname and performs under the name Suri Noelle. Her parents remain estranged, and she is being supported by her mother, Katie Holmes, as she steps onto the professional stage.
