Suri Cruise secures starring role in Edinburgh Fringe production
Suri Noelle Cruise, the 20‑year‑old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has been cast in the lead role of "Midsummer!", a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*. The production, which blends Appalachian folk, house music, queer liberation and an industrial aesthetic, will run daily throughout August at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Suri, who dropped her father’s surname in 2024 and is studying musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University, will perform alongside fellow Carnegie Mellon students.
The casting comes amid reports that Tom Cruise and his estranged daughter have not met in over a decade, though the actor has recently expressed a desire to rebuild the relationship.
A separate entertainment piece circulated a quiz on “nepo babies”, testing readers on the famous parents of celebrities such as Blake Lively, Gracie Abrams and Ben Stiller, highlighting the broader cultural fascination with children of high‑profile stars.
