Surinam Airways to transport teams for Caribbean Premier League 2026
Surinam Airways (SLM) has entered into a charter agreement to provide transportation for the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026. The airline will utilize its Boeing 737-800 aircraft, named Sabaku, to transport cricket teams, officials, and support staff between the various host nations during the tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to run from August 7 to September 20. The airline's first CPL flight recently landed in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, an event welcomed by local authorities and tourism officials as a significant milestone for regional connectivity and tourism development.
Facilitated by Mile High Travels, this partnership aims to strengthen regional mobility and expand Surinam Airways' presence in the Caribbean market. The initiative also presents opportunities for increased charter flight services and improved connections between South America and the Caribbean region.
