Suriname police arrest man with illegal weapon in 21 Pasi

A man was arrested in the 21 Pasi gold settlement within the Brokopondo district after an intelligence unit of the Korps Politie Suriname, supported by members of the National Army, conducted a check.

During the operation, authorities discovered an illegal revolver and an ammunition holder. Following the arrest, the suspect was transferred to the police post in Bronsweg for further legal processing. Authorities stated that such controls are essential for maintaining order and addressing potential criminal activities in gold settlements.
