Suriname prosecutor seeks prison for father in child neglect case

In Suriname, the Public Prosecutor's Office has demanded a prison sentence of two years and six months for a father accused of the structural abuse and severe neglect of his wife and five minor children. The prosecution noted that the mother's previous denials of domestic violence likely stemmed from fear and dependency.
