Suriya and Jyotika renew wedding vows on 20th anniversary

Tamil cinema actors Suriya and Jyotika celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in a private ceremony. The event, which the couple titled ‘The Sequel’, was attended by their children, Diya and Dev, as well as Suriya’s brother, actor Karthi, and close family members.

Sharing glimpses of the ceremony via social media, Jyotika posted an emotional note reflecting on their two decades together. She described the occasion not as a celebration of a perfect marriage, but as a celebration of ‘imperfections, of adjustments, of understanding, sacrifices, and loving each other selflessly.’

The couple, who first met on the sets of the 1999 film Poovellam Kettuppar and married in September 2006, reaffirmed their commitment through personal vows. Jyotika expressed her gratitude for the life they have built and her intention to remain positive and thankful for her family.
