Suriya and Jyotika renew wedding vows in Scotland

Tamil cinema actors Suriya and Jyotika recently held an intimate ceremony in Scotland to renew their wedding vows. The couple, who referred to the event as ‘The Sequel, 20 Years of Love and War’, shared glimpses of the celebration with fans online.

Suriya explained that Scotland was selected for its misty highlands and lochs, noting that the landscape mirrored their own journey. He also expressed gratitude for the warmth of the local people and thanked the various teams, including the staff at Blairquhan Castle, photographers, and florists, who assisted with the arrangements.

The couple first met during the filming of ‘Poovellam Kettuppar’ in 1999 and later fell in love while working on ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ in 2003. They married on September 11, 2006, and have two children, Dev and Diya. While they have not appeared as lead actors together since 2006, they continue to support each other's professional endeavors and collaborate through their production ventures, Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment.
