Surrey hosts various Halloween festivities and community events

Surrey, British Columbia, will host various Halloween-themed festivities throughout October. The Museum of Surrey is holding its annual ‘BOO-seum’ party on October 24, featuring games, crafts, a costume parade, and performances by the Re-enactors. Additionally, the museum will host a ‘Sensory Trick or Treat’ on October 30, providing a low-sensory environment with no loud noises or strobe lights for families seeking a calmer experience.

Other local attractions include the Cougar Creek House of Horrors, which offers haunted houses and stage shows, and the Pumpkin Train at Bear Creek Park, which features kid-friendly daytime rides and more frightening nighttime rides starting October 16.

The Spooktacular Newton street festival will take place on October 24, offering free trick-or-treating, mini golf, and games. The event includes a pumpkin patch benefiting the Surrey Food Bank. Other activities include the ‘Secrets of the Haunted Bog’ at Guildford Town Centre and the Harvest Hollow pop-up pumpkin patch at Art’s Nursery Garden & Home.
