Surrey to host 2027 55+ BC Games with Scott Ackles leading organizing team

Scott Ackles has been appointed to lead the 13-person organizing team for the 2027 55+ BC Games in Surrey. Scheduled to take place from September 14 to 18, 2027, the event is recognized as British Columbia’s largest multi-sport competition for adults aged 55 and older.

The Games will feature various activities, including archery, cycling, darts, hockey, pickleball, table tennis, and 8-ball pool. Organizers expect to host approximately 3,500 participants and 1,000 volunteers. The newly announced board includes Ackles as president, supported by a team covering administration, medical services, technology, and venue operations.
