Surrey Women sign England all-rounder Freya Kemp
Surrey Women have signed England international Freya Kemp to a multi-year contract ahead of the 2027 season. The 21-year-old all-rounder joins the club following two seasons with Hampshire.
Kemp brings significant international and franchise experience to Surrey. She has represented England 49 times, recording 585 runs and 36 wickets across both formats. Her recent performances include a notable showing at the Women’s T20 World Cup, where she achieved England’s best bowling figures of 4/22 against Sri Lanka.
In addition to her domestic and international career, Kemp has played in various franchise leagues, including The Hundred with Welsh Fire and Southern Brave, and the Women’s Big Bash League with the Perth Scorchers. Emma Calvert, Surrey’s Director of Women’s Cricket, described Kemp as an “incredibly exciting young player” whose work ethic and experience will be a major asset to the club.
