Surubim opposition announces inquiry into councilwoman's secondment

The opposition bench of the Surubim City Council intends to file a request for a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) during an ordinary session this Thursday. The investigation aims to examine the secondment and functional performance of Jéssyca Cavalcanti, a councilwoman from Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, who is currently assigned to the Surubim Secretariat of Education.

Councilman Dr. Vavá announced that the opposition has already gathered the necessary signatures to proceed with the request. The matter gained attention after Councilman Marlos da Cohab requested information from Surubim Mayor Cléber Chaparral regarding Cavalcanti’s work routine. Specific inquiries include her work location, hours, the actual provision of services, and whether her activities in Surubim are compatible with her mandate in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe. No irregularities have been proven at this stage, and the proposed CPI would serve to deepen the analysis of her role within the municipal administration.
