Indian shooters Suruchi Inder Singh and Kamaljeet won the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The duo achieved a score of 484.6, setting a new Asian record and surpassing the previous record established by Uzbekistan earlier in the year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the athletes on X, stating that their determination has brought immense pride to the nation. Following the victory, the athletes reflected on their journey, with Kamaljeet noting that the competitive trials required to reach this level were even more challenging than the final itself.
