Survey reveals generational differences in outdoor fashion preferences

A survey conducted by NEXER Group and the outdoor brand CHUMS involving 300 participants highlights distinct trends in how different age groups approach outdoor fashion.

Findings indicate that 85.8% of respondents in their 50s prioritize functionality when selecting outdoor apparel. In contrast, younger demographics, specifically those in their 30s and below, place a higher emphasis on fashionability alongside utility.

The usage of outdoor brands also varies by age. The 40s age group reported the highest experience wearing outdoor brands, followed by those in their 50s, while the 30s and younger group reported the lowest usage at 17.0%.

Usage scenarios differ significantly by generation: the 40s demographic primarily uses outdoor clothing for camping and outdoor activities, whereas those in their 30s and 50s most frequently wear these items for city walking.
