Survey reveals one-third of British adults admit to infidelity
A survey commissioned by Netflix regarding the series ‘Cheat: Unfinished Business’ reveals that one-third of 2,000 British adults admitted to having cheated on a partner at least once.
Marriage therapist Amanda Major suggests that infidelity is often a symptom of deeper issues, such as years of unspoken problems, a lack of intimacy, or feelings of invisibility. However, she notes that it can also stem from a single lapse in judgment under specific circumstances. While betrayal can be emotionally devastating, Major observes that for some couples, an affair serves as a ‘wake-up call’ that allows them to re-evaluate and strengthen their connection through a long healing process.
In a separate cultural observation, astrological perspectives suggest certain zodiac signs, such as Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius, and Leo, are more prone to being aware of or sharing social information and interpersonal news within their circles.
